What are the opening dates of the campsite ?
The campsite Domaine la Garenne is open from May 5, 2023 to September 4, 2023.
What are the opening hours of the reception ?
During the opening period, the reception is open 7 days a week:
- For the months of May, June and September are: 9h00 to 12h00 and 14h00 to 18h00
- For the months of July and August: 8:30am to 7pm
TIPS : During the camping’s closing period, you can reach the office from Monday to Friday between 9am and 12pm and between 2pm and 5pm.
What are the reservation modalities ?
To book your stay at the campsite, you must consult our reservation platform. Enter your dates and select your accommodation. You can then add various options (bed linen, cleaning, pet) and subscribe to a cancellation insurance.
To finalize the reservation, it is necessary to pay a deposit of 30% of the total amount of the stay.
The balance must be paid 25 days before your arrival for rental stays and 6 days before your arrival for pitch stays.
Can I take out cancellation insurance ?
When you book online, you can subscribe to a cancellation insurance. The rate is 2.5% of the total amount of the stay.

Are babies taken into account in the capacity of reception ?
Each accommodation has its own capacity. Babies count as a person in their own right.
Our rentals can accommodate between 2 and 11 people. It is important to know that at Domaine la Garenne, we do not consider a sofa as a bed. The number of beds is therefore similar to the capacity of reception.
On the pitches, the number of persons is limited to 7.
TIPS : Some of our rentals are specially equipped to welcome young children.
What are the accepted means of payment ?
We accept the following means of payment: Visa, Mastercard, bank check, bank transfer, cash, ANCV vacation vouchers, connect vacation vouchers, camping gift voucher, Ideal, Bancontact, Sofort, Giropay
Our online reservation system allows a totally secure payment.
TIPS : If you need to send your payment by post, consider using a registered letter.
What if I can’t come because of Covid (confinement, illness…) ?
In order to adapt to the health crisis, we have updated our general sales conditions.
We undertake to offer you a credit note or to reimburse you the sums paid only in the event of :
Confinement, travel restrictions, Covid’s illness or contact case of one of the participants, closure of the facility or inability to accommodate you.
TIPS : You will find all these conditions in article 6.4 of our GTS.
Can I add a tent next to my rental ?
You have the right to add a tent on your mobile home pitch. However, please note that you cannot exceed the maximum capacity of the mobile home.
Can I come to the campground by public transportation ?
The campsite Domaine la Garenne is unfortunately not served by public transport.
The nearest train station is located in Saint Vallier sur Rhône, 20 minutes from the campsite.

Do you charge an application fee ?
No, our clients do not pay any application fees.
The rates are expressed in all taxes. To obtain the final rate, you just have to add 0.40€ per night and per adult (+ of 18 years old): it is the tourist tax.
TIPS : Do not hesitate to call us (04.75.68.62.26) and we will give you a precise and detailed estimate for your accommodation.
Is the Domaine la Garenne campsite VACAF approved ?
No, the campsite is not approved VACAF.
Where can I find the map of the campsite ?
You can find the interactive map of the campsite on the pages Our rentals and Our locations. Click on the pitch number to see a photo, the size of the pitch and the year the mobile home was built.
We have also provided a downloadable map, which you can find at the bottom of each page. It contains, in addition, the safety instructions of the campsite.
TIPS : When making your reservation, you have the opportunity to indicate your preferred pitch number. If possible, we will assign it to your family.
What are the arrival and departure times ?
For rental stays, we give you the key to your “home” at 3pm. When you leave, you must vacate the premises before 10am in July and August and before 5pm in May, June and September (subject to availability, please enquire on arrival).
For stays on pitches, you can set up your tent, caravan or motor home from 2pm. Just walk to the reception desk and choose your little piece of paradise among our large available pitches! Concerning the departure, the pitch must be vacated before 12:00.
TIPS : Before checking in, we invite you to park your vehicle in the outdoor parking lot and walk to the reception.
What is the procedure in case of late arrival ?
If you arrive at the campsite after 7pm, the late arrival procedure applies to you.
Tout d’abord, téléphonez à la réception (04.75.68.62.26) afin de nous prévenir de votre heure approximative d’arrivée et nous communiquer votre plaque d’immatriculation. This will allow us to open the gate to the campsite. If the correspondent is unavailable, we invite you to leave a vocal message.
We will prepare an envelope with your name on it, with all the information you need to settle in. It will be hung on the door of the reception. This envelope contains the map of the campsite to access your pitch, the keys and the inventory. This one is to be checked and returned to us the next day after a good night’s sleep! We will take the deposit at the same time.
TIPS : The gate to the campsite is open from 7am to 10pm. If you arrive after 10pm, you will not be able to access the vehicle to your pitch.
Where can I find the animation program ?
The animation program changes every week. It is revealed to the holidaymakers on Friday. You can find it on welcome guide our and on the animation board located under the courtyard. We also present it to you every Sunday evening during the welcome drink.
TIPS : Saturday, it’s rest time! There is no animation, nor restoration on the camp-site.
Do I need to show a health pass when I arrive ?
In accordance with the legal provisions of the government, the sanitary pass is not mandatory to access the campsite and its facilities.
How far is the nearest village ?
The nearest shops are located in the village of Châteauneuf de Galaure, 3 km from the campsite.
The nearest towns are Saint-Vallier-sur-Rhône and Romans-sur-Isère, respectively 20 and 30 minutes from the campsite.
The nearest towns are Lyon, Grenoble and Saint-Etienne, about 1 hour from Domaine la Garenne.
TIPS : The village of Saint Avit on which the campsite is located has no shops but the panoramic view is well worth a visit.
Do I need to make an appointment before my departure ?
If you stay in a rental, you must come to the reception the day before your departure. We will make an appointment for your departure. This one must be done between 8:00 and 10:00. On the day of departure, a member of our team will come to your mobile home at the chosen time to check out. If no damage is found, your deposit will be returned to you.
What is the amount of the deposit ?
For rental stays, a deposit is required upon check-in. It amounts to 500€ for a mobile home and 100€ for the bivouac or the perched hut. This deposit can be paid by bank transfer (non-debited amount), by check or by cash.
At the time of your installation, a member of the campsite team will accompany you to the site to check the inventory with you. If nothing abnormal is found, we ask you to sign the inventory document.
The return of the deposit is done after an inventory of fixtures of the renting by a person of the team of the camp-site.
TIPS : We recommend that you notify us of any defects as soon as possible. Do not hesitate to contact a member of the team if you encounter any malfunction (gas, electricity, water …), he will be happy to help you.
I receive visitors, can they come to the campsite ?
All visitors are accepted during the day only. They must present themselves to the reception upon arrival and pay the current fee. (5€ for children and 10€ for adults).

Equipment and options
What is the amperage of the locations ?
The electricity provided on the sites is 6 amps. So remember to check the wattage of your appliances to make sure they are working at the campsite.
TIPS : 6 Amps = 1320 Watts.
Is there a television in the campsite ?
There is no television in the Domaine la Garenne.
Are sheets and cleaning included in the price ?
The bed linen and the cleaning package are options, which are not included in the basic rate.
You can add them when you make your reservation or during your stay at the campsite.
The cleaning option does not exempt you from doing basic and respectful things such as washing dishes, tidying up equipment and removing waste. Also remember to turn off the air conditioning before your departure if you have rented an accommodation with air conditioning.
Please note that we do not rent bathroom linen (towels, bath mats…).
- Set of sheets for single or double bed: 10€ (may, june, september) or 16€ (july, august).
- Baby bed + mattress = 3.50€.
- High chair = 3.50€.
- 2 bedrooms mobile home cleaning option : 55€.
- Option cleaning mobile home 3 bedrooms and 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms : 60€.
- Option cleaning mobile home 4 bedrooms and 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms : 65€.
- TRIBU mobile home cleaning option: 120€.
Is the water drinkable in the campsite?
The water is drinkable on the whole domain: at the sanitary facilities, at the water points of the pitches and in the rentals.
In addition, the entire network is softened by a water softener.
Where can I view my rental inventory ?
You can view the sample inventory here.
All rentals are fully equipped for your vacation. In the kitchen, you will find all the necessary dishes, a filter coffee machine, a refrigerator-freezer and a microwave. Each bed has a pillow, blanket, undersheet and disposable protective bedding. Some mobile homes have air-conditioning and are also equipped for a stay with a baby.
What is the size of the bedding ?
In the rentals, the single bed measures 90*190 and the double bed 140*190 (careful, some new beds are 160*190, contact us for more details). The pillows are 60*60 square.
Is there wifi in the campsite?
At the Domaine la Garenne campsite, we advocate disconnection.
That’s why the free wifi is only available in the reception area. You do not need a code to access it.
TIPS : Some areas of the campground, such as the clearing, are partially covered by the telephone network and internet access is limited.
Are barbecues allowed ?
You can bring a gas or electric barbecue (remember to check the electrical power because your electrical connection is limited to 1320 W).
Charcoal barbecues are not allowed as open fires are strictly forbidden in the campsite.
TIPS : A common gas barbecue is at your disposal near the reception.
Are animals allowed ?
Pets are only allowed on the pitches for a supplement of 3€ per night.
They are strictly forbidden in the rentals.
