The Ardèche is a department with a luxuriant fauna and flora. But did you know that lions, meerkats and giraffes also live in the Ardèche?
And yes, only 30 kilometers from the campsite is the Safari de Peaugres: the largest animal park in the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region.
You will travel to the heart of animal life, to meet wild animals. Carnivores, primates, reptiles and birds will no longer hold any secrets for you thanks to this educational and exotic place. Solve the riddles, participate in the feeding of the animals or discover the underground of the manor and leave with stars in your eyes.

The Team’s Advice: Arrive at the opening of the Peaugres safari to start with a walk. Take advantage of the morning coolness to walk close to the animals. In the afternoon, the car tour will allow you to discover the animals in freedom.

Hot air balloon flight over the Drôme des Collines
Who has never dreamed of taking a flight to admire the splendid landscapes of the Drôme? During your camping vacations, dare the unforgettable experience of a hot air balloon flight.
From Lens Lestang, located 25 minutes from the campsite, you will take off at dawn accompanied by your passionate pilot. He will tell you the fabulous story of the Facteur Cheval as well as various anecdotes about the Drôme heritage. A ride in the air to overlook the region and discover the territory differently.
The little train of the vineyards and the Saint Christophe chapel
The Rhone Valley has a rich and world famous wine heritage. Spending your vacations in Drôme will allow you to discover the mythical vineyards installed on the hillside. Take the direction of Tain l’Hermitage, at about twenty minutes from the campsite, for a small train ride in the vineyards. A family tour that will please both children and parents. A tasting of Crozes Hermitage or Saint Joseph will conclude this playful visit.
We then recommend a detour to the Saint Christophe chapel, on the Paul Jaboulet estate. The religious building overlooks the valley of Tain l’Hermitage/Tournon-sur-Rhône and offers you a breathtaking panorama.

Vacations in the Drôme, it’s relaxation and rest assured. We propose you a family and relaxing outing in the heart of the Zen Garden by Erik Borja. Located in Beaumont Monteux, in the direction of Romans sur Isère (25 kilometers from the campsite), this garden will offer you a natural and exotic interlude. Of Japanese and Mediterranean inspiration, the garden is built around exotic species, ponds and waterfalls. The place is ideal to relax with your family, in the shade of the Japanese maples.
Visit the Abbey of Saint Anthony
A stay at the Domaine la Garenne campsite is an opportunity to visit one of the most beautiful villages in France: Saint Antoine l’Abbaye.
Located in the Isère region, it takes about 30 minutes to get there.
Saint Antoine is a medieval village where a superb abbey is located. You will be able to discover it in more detail thanks to the museum, where a 3D film relating the construction of this imposing building is shown.
After the culture, let’s go for a treat! Take a break in one of the cafés to taste an artisanal ice cream and sip a local fruit juice. Isn’t life beautiful?
The garden of the petrifying fountains and the boat with wheel
If we tell you the Vercors, does it speak to you?
Whether the answer is yes or no, making a trip to the Vercors during your vacations in Drôme is a must! This mountain range between Drôme and Isère marks the beginning of the Alps. Many exceptional places characterize this mid-mountain territory. To our great dismay, we had to choose one activity in particular for this section!
We have therefore chosen to evoke the cruise on a paddle steamer, ahe departure of Saint Nazaire en Royans. Along the water, you will contemplate the fabulous landscapes where a preserved fauna nests.
Arrived at the village of La Sône, the garden of the petrifying fountains is a simple but fun family activity. A visit to the store will allow you to bring back beautiful figurines crystallized by the water of the spring. The return trip, also by boat, will allow you to prolong this beautiful visit and to fill up with Drôme souvenirs!
