Young and old, enjoy the 3 swimming pools of the campsite
For a few years now, the campsite has been equipped with a large aquatic area, to better satisfy the holidaymakers.
The aquatic park of the campsite is composed of 2 swimming pools, 1 large paddling pool, 1 solarium and many deckchairs around the pools.
Designed in harmony with the environment, this space is perfectly integrated into the natural landscape of the domain. Mixing the noble materials of wood and glass, the protective barriers surround this swimming area.
The “clay” color of the floor covering around the pools was carefully selected to preserve the natural look. Finally, a gigantic cypress hedge borders one length of the aquatic area to protect it from the wind and sun of the Drôme.

The heated swimming pool of the campsite for the children
Even during the hot summer months in the Drôme, there are, depending on the day, drops in temperature, especially in the early morning. The heated swimming pool of the campsite allows to have fun whatever the weather thanks to its temperature. Concerning the dimensions, it measures 80m² for a variable depth between 0.70 and 1.70m.
Thanks to its warm water temperature, you can easily relax and enjoy the aquatic pleasures throughout your vacation! This heated pool is a favorite with children, who can dive in and have fun while their parents watch.
Please note that during the beginning and end of the season (June, September), we cannot guarantee a minimum temperature because it depends on the weather outside.

The infinity pool for swimming
Swimmers will have a great time in the infinity pool. Perfect for cooling off, it measures 8m*16m or 130m² and is 1.40m deep. Its large size can thus satisfy all types of bathers. Once in the water, no element comes to disturb the line of horizon. Relaxation is guaranteed!
In the morning, swimmers will enjoy the tranquility of this campground pool for a few invigorating swims. In the afternoon, it’s the children’s turn to have fun with the campsite’s inflatable balls.
Camping with a large paddling pool for babies
The paddling pool and its water games are just waiting for your children to splash around! Measuring more than 100m², this overflowing pool with a depth of 25 to 30 cm is ideal for young children. With its rounded shape, this paddling pool is one of the largest in the Drôme. It fits with our desire to welcome families with young children, and completes our special baby accommodation formula.

Once a week, the campsite organizes a splash dance in the paddling pool, which is sure to delight participants and spectators!
Water Park Rules
The aquatic area of the campsite Domaine la Garenne is accessible free of charge to all holidaymakers staying at the campsite. It is open every day from 9 am to 7 pm continuously.
We invite you to consult the water park rules below before entering.
Shorts and swimming trunks are strictly forbidden, especially for hygiene reasons. It is also forbidden to drink, eat and smoke in the aquatic area.
Before your swim, it is mandatory to use the shower and the footbath located at the entrance of the water park. Racks are available for you to put your shoes on. Any shoe on the ground will be severely punished!
Finally, please note that swimming is not supervised. Children are under the responsibility of their parents or legal guardians. We recommend that you provide your children with armbands in the large pools.
The Team’s advice: Our water park is entirely free and reserved for our clients, i.e. the campers. Moreover, the law does not require us to have a lifeguard to supervise the pools. The children, who swim in the pools of the campsite, are under the responsibility of their legal guardians present on the campsite. In the event of heavy traffic, we advise against using large buoys, mattresses or inflatable objects.
Swimming near the campsite
In summer, it is hot in the Drôme ! In addition to the swimming area of the campsite, it can be smart to visit some refreshing tourist sites (Vercors, caves, garden of petrifying fountains…). Ask us for advice at the reception !

River La Galaure
The Galaure river is the closest river to the campsite. It rises in the Chambaran forest and flows into the Rhone river, near Saint Vallier. Many places are accessible to go for a dip or to stroll on the banks. To reach the Galaure near the campsite, we recommend the direction of the priory of Charriere, the city center of Hauterives or the village of Saint Jean de Galaure. Don’t hesitate to come and ask us for swimming advice at the reception 🙂
Lake of Vernets near the campsite
10 minutes from the campground, the Lake of Vernets is a nice swimming spot. In a wooded park of 11 hectares, children and adults will love to go for a walk. Parking, snack bar, picnic areas and even inflatable games on water are present to make you spend a playful and relaxing afternoon.
Champos leisure center
Direction Saint Donat sur l’Herbasse to have fun at the Lake Champos ! With large water slides, a beautiful paddling pool and multiple playgrounds, there is something for all ages. You can also rent pedal boats, canoes or paddles for a few hours and take full advantage of the leisure center.
